REGISTRATION

DAY ONE (with Karyn Arnauld-Bakelaar)
Day One will be an informative session designed to help caregivers understand how early trauma has impacted everything from decision-making, impulse control, and social belonging and perceived rejection from the child’s perspective. We will dive into how trauma is stored in a person’s body (which makes talk-therapy somewhat limited) and how to help your teen/young adult understand themselves, leading to healing through a decreased sense of shame. Other topics of discussion will include self-care, creating a healing environment, and understanding triangulation.

DAY TWO (with Karyn Arnauld-Bakelaar & Christine Eisses)
We will be asking participants to submit questions, challenges and/or scenarios their family is struggling with in advance, and use Day Two to discuss as many of these topics as possible. We are going to take a deep-dive, which means no situation is off-limits! This workshop is for caregivers of older teens/young adults, which means the topics of discussion will include real conversations about the struggles our kids are navigating in today’s world.

DAY THREE (with Karyn Arnauld-Bakelaar)
On Day Three, we will spend the first 45-minutes discussing remaining questions and clarifying issues, and the remaining time used to review the impact early trauma has on a developing brain, the brain’s unique ability to heal and rewire in the right environment, an overview of various somatic healing modalities, and sharing resources and support.
