Plenary speaker Susan Beayni has been a leader and advocate in the disability movement for over 25 years.Co-founder of Partners for Planning http://www.planningnetwork.ca/en-ca in Toronto, Susan is also a mother of a 30 year old who has had a support circle for almost 20 years.
Parent Panel hosted by Minda Bojin, mother of a young woman living independently and leader of DANEO (Disability Advocacy Network of Eastern Ontario).
Compassion Fatigue Breakout Session with Gail Dawson, Msw, Social Worker and professor, teaching about the importance of caring for yourselves.
French Breakout Sessions led by Hélène Courchesne who will showcase the importance of person-directed thinking and help you imagine a future for your loved one.
Transition to Adulthood Session for families moving into that next stage of life led by Stephanie King of the Ottawa Carleton District School Board.
